Help build a pioneering trauma care centre for victims of extreme persecution in northern Nigeria
"We have made up our mind to die for Jesus" - Pastor Isaac
Christians in northern Nigeria are experiencing intense persecution.
In the last decade, more than 11,000 Christians have been killed, 13,000 churches have been attacked, and more than 1 million Christians are been violently forced from their homes.
Valerie was asleep in her rural community when the Fulani attacked. They killed everything and everyone they came across.
Valerie stood by her door, trying to hold it shut. She was shot three times in her chest and stomach. Her husband was killed. Fifty people who were hiding in a straw house were locked inside and burnt to death. Two small churches were burnt down.
Valerie says, "I have forgiven the people who have done this to me because that’s what the Bible tells me to do. I now need to move on."
Valerie needs professional, long-term support. Through your prayers and your giving, you can help build a pioneering trauma care centre in northern Nigeria.
- Every £14 can buy a bag of cement so that building work can begin
- Every £24 can buy a window frame to provide a new outlook for recovering trauma victims
- Every £32 can pay for two days of trauma care, beginning the process of healing and restoration
- Every £110 can pay for one week of professional residential care for a trauma victim
*Any excess funds will help to strengthen persecuted Christians where the need is greatest.
